    Question

I can't hear it anymore...is the JRSC sound "masks" my VTEC sound?? Is this normal?

I believe so. It did the same on mine with the stock intake & filter still on.
I think it's because the OE intake manifold has "secondary" runners that opened up when VTEC kicked in but since the JR unit replaces it (and I don't think their needed with the blower), you don't hear it like when N/A.

You should hear the noise one makes with an AEM CAI on it. Sounds like some futuristic jet and the sound is not subtle. I think it makes as much noise as the exhaust side, but you can hear the blower whine resonate through the alluminun piping. Very cool.

I find myself stepping on it just to hear that wonderful noise .

VTEC sound is DEAD, woohoo, now it is the sound of a 747 landing smile I personally like that much better. The VTEC sound isnt really the 2nd runner as much as it is the sudden increase in air being sucked in, the R's do not have a 2nd runner.
